We met in Champaign, Illinois, in 2018. Nora was finishing her last year of college, and Andrew was in his second year of law school. We connected over a shared love of Chance the Rapper, campus bars like Legends and Murphy’s, a devotion to sidewalk etiquette, and a passion for one day owning a dog. 

We've spent the past 8 years mostly living in Chicago (with a brief detour by Nora to the suburbs of Dayton, Ohio, that involved too many I-65 roadtrips and Ohioans).

Through the years, Nora has taught Andrew to ride bikes, hike mountains (with varying success), and the names of the flowers they see on their neighborhood walks (which Andrew definitely remembers). Andrew has taught Nora darts and card games (and other games that Nora instantly becomes better at), useless trivia, and the importance of a good comedy bit.

We live in Wicker Park, where we enjoy weekend runs on the lakefront (followed by trips to bakeries), watching other people’s dogs play at the park across the street, and above all, making each other laugh.
